A good image can convey so many things about your school to prospective parents communicating your values and offering an insight to the best of your school.

As much as you would probably love to have every child included in the images, this obviously will not always be possible.

I can work around children who do not have photo permission and do not need them to be excluded from any lessons.

Ideally, a planned route around the school will allow a 10-15 minute session at each location/class.

Being flexible however is easy if it means we will capture some special moments!

A half day should be enough for at least 100 images as long as there are no long delays.

It works tremendously well if you plan to include interesting and varied activities on the day. Art, sports, music lessons, maths carousel lessons for example provide an overview of the school as well as writing. Maybe planning in some group activities for some lessons for that day too.

Telling everyone that a photographer is coming is actually helpful - as long as they know that what is needed as a school is to show you at your very best and the best way to do that is do what you normally do and ignore the photographer - we really won't mind!

A guide around the school is essential - not only to keep me from getting lost but also to point out those who don't have permission - if they are not wearing stickers - and who can move me on to the next location if there is an unexpected delay.
